Verdehesa is very happy, satisfied and grateful for the collaboration with Slow Food Extremadura and Fundación Entretantos for the digitalization of the CATALOGUE OF TRADITIONAL FOODS OF EXTREMADURA and the launch of the website www.slowfoodextremadura.com.

In it, in addition to reporting on the projects we have carried out in recent years, we offer you the CATALOGUE OF TRADITIONAL FOODS OF EXTREMADURA: a total of 98 mapped foods, described and classified into plant varieties and fungi, animal breeds and processed products.

Thanks to all the people (male and female producers) and initiatives that make it possible today to preserve these products, flavors and knowledge!

We hope that this Catalog can serve as a basis for future actions to help promote agroecological practices and the maintenance of the historical memory of native foods and the old traditional cuisines of Extremadura.

The launch of the website and the digitalization of the Food Catalog has been possible thanks to the collaboration with Fundación Entretantos and Verdehesa, and to the 2022 grants for third sector entities awarded by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

We hope you like it and find it useful!
