Cerecera in Vale del Jerte: pick and take home your own cherries

You can eat them one by one, two by two or three by three, because we will take you to the magical mountains of the Jerte Valley so that you can pick your own cherries and take them home.

You will learn with local farmers the different techniques of cultivation of the more than one and a half million cherry trees that between March and April dye the whole valley white and from May and June of sweet, crunchy and fleshy cherries.

In addition, you can combine the visit with an excursion to “Los Pilones” in the Natural Reserve of the Garganta de los Infiernos, considered one of the most beautiful natural bathing areas in the world. You can also take pictures at one of the scenic viewpoints with stunning views of the valley, or tour the historic center of Cabezuela del Valle and its popular architecture. And to complete the day, we give you the opportunity to take a guided tour of Plasencia, capital of the north of Extremadura.

Duration

The rates correspond to 2-3 hour visits in the morning or afternoon. This activity is only available during the months of May and June.

  • 3 kilos of cherries (if you wish, you can buy more kilos at the farm itself)

The price does NOT include

  • Travel by vehicle

Weekend and holiday rates

20% increase over the standard rate. The price will automatically increase when you select the dates in the checkout process.

Guided tour in English

30% increase over the standard rate. You will be able to add this option during the purchase process.
