In their tour of Extremadura, this group of Canadians did not want to miss the historical and architectural treasure of the Monastery of Guadalupe, which for more than five centuries has been a spiritual and pilgrimage center, a refuge of knowledge and devotion.
The Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe is one of the three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Extremadura. It is of exceptional interest because it illustrates four centuries of Spanish religious architecture and recalls the two transcendental historical events of 1492: the end of the reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula by the Catholic Monarchs and the arrival of Christopher Columbus in America.
A legacy that captivates, moves and transmits the essence of faith, beauty and tradition of our region!
