A divine plan for this Holy Week is to make a pilgrimage with us to Guadalupe to learn about the four centuries of Spanish religious architecture illustrated by the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe and to remember two transcendental historical events of 1492: the end of the reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula by the Catholic Monarchs and the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the New World.
You will enjoy extensive valleys surrounded by high mountains, lush forests of chestnut and oak trees, and abundant waterways. In addition, the important geological heritage of the Villuercas Ibores Jara region made it worthy of its declaration as a Geopark by UNESCO in 2011. See our guided ecotourism tour “Route through the landscapes of the Villuercas” for more information.
